Beard and Mustache Transplantation
Beard and mustache transplantation is an aesthetic operation in which beard and mustache formation is achieved by transplanting hair follicles taken from the back of the head and between the two ears, as in hair transplantation, to areas where beards and mustaches are rare or absent.
Beard and mustache transplantation is an operation that requires more precision than hair transplantation.
Beard and mustache growth continues until the end of adolescence. Therefore, it is necessary to complete the adolescence period (18-22 years old) in order to have a beard and mustache planted.
After these operations, there is no physical condition that will prevent the person from returning to his daily life.
A dark red appearance will appear in the beard or mustache transplanted area immediately after planting. In the first wash (72 hours), the image will improve and the transplanted beards will become visible.
If it is desired to trim the beard and mustache that continue to grow after planting, it can be shortened with scissors after the 15th day. The first shave should be done after 1 month in order for the roots to hold.
After the 2nd week, some of the beard and mustache transplanted experience a temporary shedding called shock shedding. 2-6 months after the temporary shedding, all the spills come out again.
The increase in hair root continues for up to 2 years.
